The scheme is formulated to impart skills in various vocational trades to meet the skilled manpower requirements for technology and industrial growth by way of Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs).

Students willing to take part in training should possess academic qualification prescribed for the trade which varies from class-VIII pass to class- XII pass depending upon the trade.
Proforma for admission may be obtained from the State Directorate dealing with Craftsmen Training Scheme or from the Principal of the concerned Industrial Training Institute conducting training programmes under Craftsmen Training scheme.
